To get a useful answer, include
- Wall length and height (and the height at each end if the room is out of level).
- The board size you plan to buy, and the length it comes in.
- What the calculator told you, and what you expected it to say.
- A photo if the wall has a window, fireplace or an awkward corner.
Things we cannot do
We cannot size structural work, tell you whether a wall is load bearing, or advise on electrical or plumbing changes. Those need someone standing in the room. We also cannot chase an order placed with a retailer — that has to go through the store.
Spotted a wrong number?
Please tell us. Include your measurements and we will run them by hand. If the calculator is wrong, it gets fixed and the fix ships the same week.
